Welcome to the Fressingfield Croquet Club website
2023 season starts 2pm Easter Monday, April 10, and we extend a warm welcome to anyone wanting to join us whether an experienced player or a newbie. Come and give it a go – a great afternoon of fun and friendship.
As seen on the telly in the Bridgerton tv series…
…well, hardly. Playing with the FCC is a cross between playing in your back garden and a club
For more information, a chat, or even a game, please pop along and see us on a club afternoon (Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2.00pm) on the Sancroft Hall Lawn (some call it the Fox & Goose Green), Fressingfield, Suffolk or give our Membership Secretary, Tony Dawson, a call on 01379 855440. You can also reach us through our Contact Form.
The Fressingfield Croquet Club, or the FCC as it’s affectionately known, was born out of two fund-raising tournaments in 2006 and 2007 for the restoration of the village church bells. Following the second of these an informal village croquet club was established and was properly formed the following year. Both AC (Association Croquet) and sometimes GC (Golf Croquet) are played at FCC.
We’re happy to teach you the rules of the game and how to play, so don’t be put off if you’ve never played before. Everyone has to start somewhere and, who knows, you might get hooked!
